My Road Beyond The Codependent Divorce
This sequel to The Road Back to Me, details the journey Lisa took from the world of unconsciousness to the world of truth. Healing from a codependent marriage is not for the faint of heart, but Lisa did it and so can you.
My Road Beyond The Codependent Divorce is a sequel to The Road Back To Me.
Readers have asked 'why' I chose to divide my lifeā€™s story into two books. The answer is simple. If you are an Adult Child from a dysfunctional home, it is all but guaranteed that you have been taught to believe that your childhood perceptions were unimportant. As a result, your subconscious programming has you believing you are not enough. When childrenā€™s emotional needs go unmet, children experience a sense of abandonment. Psychologically, children presume it is their fault they were unable to acquire the love and the bonds they needed from their caretakers.
The Road Back to Me is written through the eyes of the wounded inner child. The aim of that book was to set the framework for an adult codependent person, to understand how their current life experiences are the result of what they learned to believe about themselves as children.
My Road Beyond the Codependent Divorce represents the experiences of the young woman in me who was now aware that she had lived her life below the veil of consciousness, unaware she was unaware. If you are someone who has recognized you are codependent, you might be beginning to understand that it is possible to live your life completely unaware of the idea that all choices we make as humans are the results of beliefs that are stored in the subconscious mind. My Road Beyond the Codependent Divorce is the journey I took after I became conscious of the idea that childhood programming is what caused me to marry the man I married and how I became the codependent wife and mother I became.
Codependency is rooted in denial, negative self-perceptions, shame, and the fear of abandonment, which is why a codependent divorce is so complicated, messy, overwhelming, and confusing. Leaving a codependent marriage requires that you face all of your fears, every single one of them, in order to live a more conscious and fulfilling life.
If you are codependent and if you are considering a divorce, or if you are in the process of healing from codependency, this book will validate your experiences and help you find the way back home to the more conscious self. I wrote this book to inspire wounded adult children to find the courage and conviction to live above the veil of consciousness, aware of their fears while breaking through the dysfunctional patterns that have been holding them back for so long.
Dear One, you are enough, it was never you, it was only your programming, and this is not your fault.
You deserve happiness.

What others are saying about this book
"This is the exact book I need! I just received it yesterday and am already half way through it. Lisa's style of writing just speaks so eloquently to my heart. It is as if she is writing my story. Her first book, "The Road Back to Me" was also one I couldn't put down. I read the whole book in one day ...Thank you Lisa for all that you do!"

"I found out how truly codependent I was an am. Stemming from my childhood with a raging unpredictable practicing alcoholic father who got sober when I was 12 then cheated and my mother divorced him. I feel like I was Max lost and confused wish my mother would have had this book through that time or these principles. She did the best she could ...I am adamant to break the cycle and know I can with Lisa's story."

"From the second page of the intro tears ran down my face. With my granddaughter in her arms my daughter ran into the room "Mom are you ok? What is wrong?!" I said I think this author stole my diaries to write this book. Since I was 15 I’ve been running from it, accepting any other explanation but now I see the reflection. I cannot possibly write all the pros of this Lisa’s courageous transparent story. I wish I had this book years ago to help me break the denial. Well worth your money and a must-have tool for the healing process."
